Michigan Prisoner Reentry Initiative (MPRI)
Creating Safer Neighborhoods & Better Citizens

GLRC works with former prisoners and their parole agents across five counties in the central Upper Peninsula in procuring services in their Transition Accountability Plan.  Through a strategic approach, the MPRI is creating safer neighborhoods and better citizens through the delivery of a seamless plan of services.  The MPRI reduces costs and better utilizes existing resources by connecting former prisoners with agencies in local communities.  When former prisoners receive this support, they commit fewer crimes, thereby reducing the cost placed on society.
